A dynamic awareness raising campaign against sexual violence, targeting people around Europe, through the social media. The #Speak4NO Challenge invites all young people to say “NO” to sexual violence by posting an original powerful photo message in their personal facebook, instagram or twitter account. The post must include the hashtags #Speak4NO #ReactActPrevent #StopSexualViolence, and at the same time challenge at three of their friends, to do the same and send their own message, by tagging them in the post.

Sexual violence is considered among the most serious social problems, occurring against any person, regardless gender,age,race at any place,at any time.The project greatly supports that all Youth NGOs have the obligation to run effective sexual violence prevention, advocacy and support policies,protocols and programs,as part of their responsibilities for protection of the mental and physical health of children,especially those with fewer opportunities.The lack of awareness,education,information, capacity related problems NGOs face and lack of professional skills, abilities and competences of staff in dealing with sexual violence,appear as obstacles to this.

The Speak4NO Challenge represents one of the awareness raising activities of the 2-year project “REACT-ACT-PREVENT SEXUAL VIOLENCE THROUGH YOUTH WORK”, aiming at the providing voluntary organizations, especially those involved in youth related issues, with innovative comprehensive tools and means, to successfully and effectively adopt, plan, and implement prevention policies, strategies, programmes and practices aiming to combating sexual violence against children, adolescents and youth, based on primary prevention approaches including information sharing, awareness raising, education, training, networking and cooperation, using non-formal learning tools and methods.

The project is funded by the Erasmus+, Action K2 Strategic Partnership for Youth, and is being implemented simultaneously in five EU countries: Cyprus, by the Social Policy and Action Organization (Coordinator), and Greece by United Societies of Balkans, Poland by Stowarzyszenie Promocji Zdrowia i Profilaktyki "HOPP", France (including Martinique) by D’Antilles et D’Ailleurs and Spain by Asociacion Building Bridges.
